Sol Avalos

Candidate for Second Vice Chair

Hello Clark Dems,

My name is Sol Avalos, and I am originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I am a passionate special education teacher who speaks English as a second language. I love family, people, and creating memorable moments for those around me.

My journey in education is deeply rooted in the belief that every student deserves access to support, understanding, and opportunity, no matter their background or ability. My passions include education, mental health, early intervention, and immigration. These values shape my teaching philosophy and fuel my commitment to advocating for students, families, and community. With a heart for service and a dedication to equity, I strive to make a lasting impact inside and outside the classroom.

As a proud member of the Reimagine Slate, I’m running to be your Clark County Party Second Vice Chair. I will bring energy, style, and excitement to CCDP events and fundraising when elected.

Our communities deserve a hardworking, people-centered Clark County Democratic Party. I will bring the full strength of who I am, a school teacher, union member, PhD student, and proud immigrant, to this role. I am committed to showing up for our people.

This role is a powerful opportunity to serve our community with purpose. As Second Vice Chair, I will support the executive team, help organize inclusive events, and improve member communication. I bring a fresh perspective, a fierce dedication to inclusion, and an unwavering commitment to our shared values.

Join me on this journey; we can reimagine our party together.

With gratitude,
Sol Avalos
